My Future..

After an interview in march I have been awarded an unconditional place to study Press and Editorial Photogrpahy at Falmouth Uni in Cornwall starting in September '09 :D

"I'M DEVELOPING MY INSTINCT AS A JOURNALIST AND BUSINESSPERSON. WE'RE TAUGHT ALWAYS TO ASK: IS THERE A STORY HERE? HOW CAN I TURN IT INTO SOMETHING PEOPLE WILL PICK UP AND LOOK AT? CAN I MONETISE THIS? WHO WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN?" Oliver Rudkin, BA(Hons) Press & Editorial Photography student

"STUDENTS AT FALMOUTH HAVE ACCESS TO WHAT ARE PROBABLY THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHIC FACILITIES IN THE COUNTRY, WITH HIGH QUALITY, PROFESSIONAL STANDARD FACILITIES FOR BOTH TRADITIONAL AND DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY." Simon Culliford, Head of Photography Centre

Falmouth is widely recognised as one of the UK's leading centres for the study of photography. Our Press & Editorial Photography degree is designed to mirror the real world of editorial and press photography, as we know you'll need more than just the ability to take a good picture. We'll help you develop an eye for opportunity, providing the support, knowledge and technical know-how for you to succeed in this challenging environment.

Whether you want to become a photojournalist or a fashion photographer, we'll take you from idea conception through to post-production, using both traditional and digital technologies in our impressive Photography Centre. Workshops and live briefs will ensure you graduate with a strong portfolio and the confidence to flourish in a professional capacity.
